This third volume of a three volume set, serves as audition and concert material as well as a graduated system in which students can develop musicality and interaction with piano accompaniment.

All volumes come with a play along tape of the accompaniment or computer disk with midi file, if requested. The midi file having the advantage of variable speed, to increase as the student becomes more comfortable.

"Embroidery" begins at a high level with emphasis of contemporary technique and tonalities. The performer is challenged with xylophone works that are at the level and quality of today's contemporary marimba works, emulating in style, yet capturing the unique sound of the xylophone. Dr. Paliev pursues a higher ambition with the last two selections that could be excellent choices at any college level recital.
