Chopin's Preludes have been among the favorite repertoire of pianists around the world. Though sounding deceivingly simple, Chopin's most colorful use of harmonic structure and frequent change of key make for interesting and challenging reading.

In consideration of the Vibraphone and Marimba, some preludes have been transposed to fit the instruments ranges. Occasional pedaling and appropriate dampening are provided in the Vibraphone parts to aid beginning mallet students in learning more about phrasing and the application of pedaling and dampening.

This selected collection six short pieces, requires an intermediate level of two, three and in some cases four mallet technique.
